Independent of any neighbouring springs, the pocket springs contour your body shape to offer piston-like support to the neck, hips and lower back. Edge-to-edge support is provided by the addition of hand side-stitching, a labour intensive and intricate technique that takes many years to master. With the help of a long upholstery needle and high tension twine, the perimeter springs are sewn to the border, adding strength to the mattress edge.
